Through the Ama Shilpi Ama Garba Jantho programme, the biographies of individuals who have made outstanding contributions in the fields of music, dance, folk art, drama, etc. and their best achievements in related fields have been preserved through photographs and kept in the akademi. This will provide information to the younger generations in the fields of music, folk art, dance and drama, as well as help in conducting advanced research in those fields.

A visual archive has been set up in the office of the Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi. In this archive, photographs of legendary greats along with their visual recordings have been displayed on television. Odisha folk dance and music, especially Western Odisha musical instruments, have been arranged on a special tree and kept for display.

A  Folk corridor has also been set up in the Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi office, in which special costumes and rare instruments used in Odisha folk dance and music have been kept. In addition, various dances based on folk art are being performed through television.

In Odisha, many folk arts based on music, dance, drama, music, etc. are gradually disappearing and are losing their originality. To revive all those music, dance, folk drama, folk art, the akademi has taken steps and training is being provided by experienced teachers in the relevant fields through the Dikshant program in the headquarters of various districts of the state.

To promote and popularize Odissi dance, the Dikshasala Odissi dance program is organized with the participation of renowned Odissi dance masters and dance coordinators of the respective districts. In this Dikshasala, enthusiastic students/pupils are trained on Odissi dance performance and Pallavi by experienced masters. The audio-visual recording of the said training program is being kept in the akademi office.

At the Mayurbhanj Chhau Dance Institute in Baripada, the state governments Odia Language, Literature and Culture Department is providing Chhau dance classes under the supervision of a renowned Chhau dance teacher. Local students are being taught in this. Training is being provided every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the said center.

A Ghumura training center named Maa Manikeswari Ghumura Prashikshan Kendra has been established by the Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi in Bhawanipatna, Kalahandi. Talents are selected from different parts of Kalahandi district and trained in Ghumura dance and music by experienced teachers.

The Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi has established a Prahlad Natak Training Center at Luduludi in Ganjam district. Under the supervision of experienced teachers, local students are being trained in the prepared plays.
